With skill, power, and outstanding teamwork, the Maccabi Tel Aviv Amazons wrapped up another successful campaign and claimed the 2024/25 National Championship title!
Under the experienced guidance of head coach Jeremy Schauder and captain Natalie Klotz, the Amazons reaffirmed their dominance in Israeli women’s rugby.
A Celebration of Women’s Rugby Across Israel
The tournament held in Jerusalem brought together the finest women’s rugby talent from around the country:
the Golan Cowgirls, the Galilee Bees, the Maccabi Haifa Wild Boars, Hadrim, the Maccabi Tel Aviv Amazons, the Rishon LeZion Owls, and the proud hosts – the Jerusalem Lionesses.
Throughout the day, spectators enjoyed highly competitive matches packed with excitement, tension, and unforgettable moments.
Special congratulations to the tournament MVPs for their outstanding performances and their remarkable contributions to their teams.
A big thank you to the excellent officiating crew – Ariel Cabral, Sean Kantor, and Jared Mosselson – and to all the referees and assistant referees who ensured the day ran smoothly.
Community, Rugby, and a Jerusalem Celebration
The tournament concluded with a warm and festive communal meal prepared by the Jerusalem Lionesses.
Naturally, Shapiro Beer – a proud supporter of the Jerusalem Lions and Lionesses – kept the celebrations lively with plenty of excellent beer.
