Israel’s Women’s Sevens Team returned from France with more than just a result — they came back with stories of spirit, connection, and pride. Finishing 7th out of 16 was just one part of a much larger journey.

In their pool stage, they placed second, earning strong wins over Wonder 7s and Rebelles, and a single loss that didn’t overshadow their spirited performance.
More importantly, the Israeli flag they proudly carried opened doors to heartwarming moments. Olivier, one of the tournament’s security guards, now trains in the shirts gifted to him by the team. Damien, a French Jewish volunteer, became a passionate supporter — or, in his words, “not a fan, family.”

Led by legendary coach Omer Chalfi and team manager Gabi, the squad represented Israel with pride — on and off the field. These moments remind us of sport’s true power: to connect people, build bridges, and leave behind lasting friendships and hope.
